Our next Coach Trip which will be a private visit to Tissington Hall and the Well Dressings on Wednesday 16th May.
The coach will leave the village at 9.15am and should arrive at The Hall by 11.00am at the latest, allowing us time to visit the award-winning tea room before our tour of the house and gardens, which begins at 11.30am. The Hall was built by Francis Fitzherbert in 1609. His descendant, Sir Richard Fitzherbert and his family still live there. Though Sir Richard likes to welcome visiting groups personally, whenever possible, the tour will be led by professional guides and will take ninety minutes.
The tea room offers lunch and light snacks, leaving time to visit the wells around the village before the coach leaves for home at 4.00pm.
Our coach trips do not aim to make a profit but must cover the costs involved. so, for this visit, we need to charge £22 per person. Non-members are most welcome to join us.
Though this date is a long way away, we need to make sure there is enough interest before we change our provisional bookings of The Hall and the coach to firm ones. Please contact Pat on 01606 882197 as soon as possible if this visit is of interest to you. Firm bookings and payments are obviously not needed at this stage.
