Chatsworth House trip a great success

Our trip to Chatsworth House last Wednesday was a great success. Again, we had glorious weather and the house and gardens were amazing.

There were no organised tours, so we all did our own thing, which meant that the following photos do not show our group of 35 happy tourists.

Thank you to Pat Hatfield for organising the day out. You came up trumps again.

The Great British Spring Clean - results

Our April litter pick took place on Sunday 14th April 2019 and was part of the Great British Spring Clean.

A dozen or so volunteers turned up, including regulars and some new faces.

The weather was clear and dry, but a bit on the cold side.

We did Chester Road, School Lane, Stones Manor Lane, the slip roads to the bypass and the bypass itself and the area by the Blue Bridge.

We collected 18 sacks of rubbish, plus a few large items that would not fit into our sacks.

In addition, two of the team washed a couple of road signs and cleared the vegetation that was partly obscuring them and also washed a couple of street signs.

All in all, not bad for 90 minutes' work.

Well done and THANK YOU to all volunteers and we hope to see you at next month's litter pick.

Our aim is to keep Hartford clean and litter-free.
