Last Sunday's litter pick was a success

Despite pretty awful weather last Sunday, ten regulars turned out to do the litter pick and we collected 15 sacks of rubbish.

I would just like to thank everyone who helped. You contributions are invaluable and much appreciated.

As I was picking litter, a jogger ran by and said "Thank you" to me. While it was nice to receive some thanks, we don't do it for thanks. We do it to keep our local environment tidy. We could do with more people helping us and, more to the point, less people dropping the litter in the first place. Please spread the word.

Litter pick this Sunday, 13th October

It is time for another litter pick this Sunday, meeting at 10.00am at the bus stop at the end of Walnut Lane, as usual.

The weather forecast isn't looking too good, but fingers crossed.

We can't guarantee the weather, but we can always guarantee that there will be litter waiting to be picked, unfortunately.

Hope to see you then.

Baddesley Clinton - A Great day out

Our coach trip, today, to Baddesley Clinton, was a great success.

The house was lovely and the gardens were magnificent.

And, despite all the rain we have had recently, it was superb weather from start to finish.

So, thank you to Pat Hatfield for organising it. Once again you chose the right day.

Numbers were down a little on our previous trips, possibly because of the recent lousy weather and possibly because it took place later than usual, October rather than September. But the ones who did go all had a great day out.

I attach some photos of the day:

There were more than a hundred different varieties of dahlia in the gardens. Here is just one of them
