| On this website we will be concentrating on recording the history of our village,
but much of that history is influenced or dictated by that of the surrounding region.
Also, as a small village, records do not exist for some older periods but we can
guess what conditions were like from what was happening on a wider scale. For these reasons we will also include a history of the
district, in the Local History section, where that is of interest.

have already - these will be expanded over time so keep coming back if local
history interests you.

Northwich & District Heritage Society
We are very pleased to start off our local history section by showcasing the
wide ranging series of talks organised by the Northwich & District Heritage
Society - an organisation that shares the Civic Society's aims of promoting interest in the history of our area and conserving our heritage.
