Appropriate planning for the village is at the core of what the Society sees as its role. See the Hartford Planning page for local plans and issues. Major planning issues will be highlighted and you will be able to follow their progress on these web pages. Planning applications are only notified to those people in the immediate vicinity but can have a dramatic effect on the whole village. This is an easy way to stay in touch.

Included here is also a list and gallery of photographs of all the Listed buildings in Hartford.

Information will also be included on developments outside the village where there is a potential impact on us - for instance houses built elsewhere lessen the pressure on development within the village. An example of this is the Winnington Urban Village proposal which was recently the subject of a public inquiry - see the District Planning section for more information.
